Description
Following a successful Salix Public Sector 3b Decarbonisation Grant Funding application. Teesside University has produced a tender for RIBA stage 5 and 6. This will include all M&E services and Building construction works. The works shall include the following; 1) Fabric Insulation Improvements - To increase cavity wall insulation and loft insulation to current Building Regulations standards. 2) Replacement Windows - Replacement of existing windows with double glazed units compliant with the Building Regulations target U value of 1.2W/m²K. 3) Replacement of existing Heating and Hot Water systems with air to water heat pumps and unvented direct electric hot water system, including pipework and heat emitter replacement and modifications to BMS system. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
