Description
This project is a key regeneration scheme for Kirkby in Ashfield and will replace the existing leisure centre, Festival Hall which was built in the 1960's and is no longer fit for purpose. The objective is to test and confirm the viability of building and operating a new facility. Initial work has included assessment of supply and demand in the catchment area (indoor facilities strategy); public and stakeholder consultation and a review of operational performance and opportunities presented by the consultants' team through industry best practice and expertise. An initial site options appraisal has been carried out and a detailed feasibility study is now required to establish the preferred site and facility. Full details available in the specification.
