East Cambridgeshire District Council - The Provision of and Installation of a Play Area at Kingsley Walk, Ely.

Description

East Cambridgeshire District Council (ECDC) is looking to replace the existing play area at Kingsley Walk, Ely CB6 3BZ. The existing play area needs to be removed by the contractors and a replacement put in place which will encompass and facilitate play for children aged 5 - 8 years. The play area needs to include swinging, spinning, climbing, sliding, springing, balancing and jumping and should facilitate imaginative, physical, social, role and deep play. Following consultation which has been undertaken within the local area, the top pieces of equipment were swings, roundabout, multi play climbing unit and stepping stones. The surfacing will need to be replaced with a suitable cover of either eco bond, tiger mulch or wet pour. ECDC would like plastic, durable materials to be used and envisage a bright, fun place for children to use and play. This is a further competition using the ESPO Outdoor Playground, Fitness and Sports Facilities Framework 115 Lot 2: Playground Equipment Larger Authorities/Larger Projects.
