Fire Alarm Maintenance 2023

The University of Salford (UoS) wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced company on a three-year contract basis with an option to extend for up to a further two years to undertake the testing and maintenance duties on all fixed fire alarm systems, including VESDA smoke aspiration installations and portfolio of buildings across the University campuses.

Services shall be provided in accordance with the minimum standards defined in British Standard BS 5839-1:2017, with particular reference to section 6 "Maintenance" together with any enhanced standards as defined in this document. Any electrical testing and associated works shall be undertaken to the latest British Standard BS 7671 (The IET Wiring Regulations) at the time of installation.
