SOLICITOR Rate of Pay: BAND H - £21\.13 ph PAYE \(if your candidate is paid daily, please let us know\) Hours: 37 HOURS PER WEEK Location: SANDWELL COUNCIL HOUSE, OLDBURY Contract type: Temporary for 3 months, immediate start - short closing date as needed immediately Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role\. Job Summary: We are looking for a Solicitors to work within the Children's area of legal\. The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years PQE \(or equivalent\) with at least 2 years experience specialising in and handling Public law child care mailers preferably from a local authority prospective\. Candidates must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to carry a varied case load covering all aspects of Public Law childcare matters\. You must be a confident advocate as there will be an expectation for you to cover various types of hearings to include those of a contested nature\. The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team\. The successful candidate would gain great exposure to a varied caseload and would enjoy a high level of responsibility with a great deal of client contact\. Candidates need to be readily available for an interview and if successful start immediately\.
