This is Pre Procurement Market Engagement only. Hertfordshire Catering Limited (hereinafter referred to as HCL), limited by shares and wholly owned by Hertfordshire County Council, is committed to delivering excellence in catering to schools, business and industry throughout Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. HCL presently delivers a catering service in circa 393 primary schools and 41 secondary schools along with 11 commercial units. HCL currently has an existing contract in place for the supply of fresh produce, but this will expire soon. The current contract covers the full range of fruits, vegetables, dairy, seasonings and spices. This Pre-Procurement Market Engagement (PPME) provides an opportunity to research the options that are available in the market which have the potential to meet our needs and enhance our menu as a whole. HCL would like to engage with the market to establish the potential variety of fresh produce which may be available and to explore new ideas that meet HCL's requirements as stated above. HCL wants to understand what is currently available in the market for a suitable fresh produce offering and what might be possible in terms of innovative new ideas currently available in the market. By completing and returning the PPME questionnaire you have the chance to offer ideas that may help any future procurement. Additional information: This is a PPME (Pre Procurement Market Engagement) exercise. Please complete and return the questionnaire through the In-Tend system by the return deadline of 12.00 Noon on Tuesday 14th December 2021. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and HCL is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Any Contract start and end dates are indicative and relate to the PPME only. Participation or non-participation in this PPME shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential procurement process nor is it intended that any information supplied shall place any supplier at an advantage in any forthcoming procurement process.
