Work description
Community Navigators - Ambition for Ageing is looking for a provider/s of a service to help people at risk of isolation build connections in their communities. The work will target the following three groups:
Lot 1 - People over 50 with recent hearing loss Lot 2 - Men over 75 living alone in receipt of pension credit Lot 3 - Bangladeshi men and women over 50
The contract is being broken down into 3 'lots', with each target group considered 1 'lot'. Providers can bid to deliver the service to 1, 2 or 3 groups.
Ambition for Ageing is a unique cross sector partnership of influential organisations, led by Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO), with the aim of developing creative approaches to reducing social isolation for older people in Greater Manchester. The programme is part of the Big Lottery's national Ageing Better programme which is funding 14 programmes across England. Ambition for Ageing operates in eight areas of Greater Manchester - Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside, and Wigan.
