Work description
The Council invites quotations for the provision of Animal Therapy for Children Looked After.
The Virtual School is looking to engage a local supplier within easy reach of Croydon, who can provide a range of 1:1 animal therapy sessions during term time and group sessions for one week in the school summer holiday period for our Children Looked After (CLA).
Working with the Virtual School the provider will design sessions to help our children meet their specific personal goals. The therapy sessions should support educational attainment, awareness, team working and emotional wellbeing. Provision of individual and group therapy sessions as and when required by the Virtual School to support our young CLA Cohort. Sessions to be agreed with the School, Social worker and the Virtual School and appropriate learning targets to be set.
Each session should last approximately 1 hour depending of the needs of the child and the specific scenario. The summer school for one week would be for full days (Monday-Friday approximately 9am-4pm) for up to ten children.
