Supply and Collection of Skips and disposal of their contents of Highways Leaves from a Council Depot

Every Autumn Bury Council's Street Cleansing Section which is based in the Department of Communities and Wellbeing is responsible for the clearing of fallen leaves from the carriageways and footways of the Borough. The Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to provide a skip service for the depositing of the leaves collected. The skips will be located at the Council's main depot at Bradley Fold Trading Estate, Bradley Fold Road, Bolton BL2 6RS. The Council are also considering options for the locating of supplementary single skips at • Barnfield Park, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 9WN • Ramsbottom Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Ramsbottom, Bury, BLO 9PU Bidders will be requested to submit separate prices for the provision of skips at these additional locations. The successful provider will be responsible for collecting the skips once they are filled and disposing of their contents in line with current legislation regarding the disposal of leaves removed from the highway. Please note that the period of the contract will be from November 2018 through to early January 2019 with the actual start and finish dates being notified to the successful bidder by the Council's Head of Waste Management once the contract has commenced.
