CP1044-15 Contracts for the provision of Devon County Council's, Somerset County Council's and Plymouth City Council's Highways Maintenance Services - Award of Somerset County Council Contract.

Devon County Council (DCC), Somerset County Council (SCC) and Plymouth City Council (PCC) undertook a joint procurement exercise for the provision of each Authority's new Highway Term Maintenance Contract (TMC). Lot 1 will cover the administrative area of DCC, lot 2 will cover the administrative area of SCC, lot 3 will cover the administrative area of PCC. The Authorities will work collaboratively with the provider(s) and each other to realise additional benefits and facilitate the successful delivery of the contracts. The contract term for each authority will be seven years from 1.4.2017, with opportunities to extend for further periods of up to 3 further years. Type of procedure: Competitive procedure with negotiation. The contracting authority reserved the right to award the contract on the basis of the initial tenders without conducting negotiations. Somerset County Council have awarded to Skanska Construction UK Ltd.
