Catering concessions - Car boot sales 2020 - AWARD

Portsmouth City Council is seeking to appoint up to 3 operators to provide food and drink catering units/stands for weekly car boot sales at Pier Road Southsea during 2020. The car boot takes place on a Sunday morning starting from 5th April 2020 through to 27th September 2020 (weather and events permitting).

We are looking for 2 concessions to provide hot drinks and a suitable food offer for this weekly event and 1 ice cream van. The offer must be appropriate to the type and timing of these events and the customer base. The two concessions will be required to work in partnership, working alternate Sundays. The ice cream van will be required every Sunday the car boot is operational. Concessions units are not permitted to sell alcohol.

The trading hours are 7am to 1pm and the site is located on Pier Road, Southsea. The car boot sale will not operate on the August Bank Holiday weekend due to the Victorious Festival. There may also be other one-off major events that require the closure of the car boot sale.

The contracts will take the form of a service concession which will require payment to the Council from the successful operators.
