Work description

The Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) supplies equipment to Oldham, Tameside and Glossop residents prescribed by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Community Nurses. The service operates the supply, installation and statutory inspection of standard stock items of equipment issued by the prescriber, and the procurement of any specialist items of equipment that may the required and authorised by Commissioners. • The current annual contract value for Tameside MBC is £1,500,000.00 per annum. • The current annual contract value for Oldham MBC is £1,555,000.00 per annum. The contract also includes for Oldham and Tameside an element of minor adaptations, which includes such items as handrails, key safes, etc. • The approximate value of this element in Tameside MBC is £200,000.00. • The approximate value of this element in Oldham MBC is £67,741.00. View to awarding a new contract for up to 7 years (4+3 years) ICEs and Minor Adaptations Service is activity based and will go out with financial model with no uplifts for 4 years, but be reviewed when extended for 3 years.
