Description
UEA is seeking Architect/Lead Designer/Principal Designer Services for SCVA Mezzanine Access Improvements. One of the exhibition spaces within Sainsbury's Centre for Visual Arts is a mezzanine floor, accessed by a spiral staircase and a lift. There are currently restrictions in place which prevent the use of this area by people who are unable to self-evacuate, as there is no secondary escape route for them and they could become trapped in the event of an emergency. This project aims to remove these restrictions by carrying out improvements, to include the installation of a secondary lift, relocation of a kitchenette, removal of an existing shower facility, relocation of existing spiral escape stair and relocation of multiple building services systems.
