Lighting design, provision & installation of car park LED floodlights

Erewash Borough Council is commencing with an upgrade to current car park lighting stock to LED floodlight units. Tenders are therefore sought for the design, provision and installation of a tailored scheme for each of the selected car parks to BS 5489 Part 1: 2013 Medium Traffic requirements of Table 5. The tenderer shall provide a full lighting design and fixed price cost for each of the twelve car parks that shall include: • Lighting level distribution drawings and energy usage calculations to demonstrate the cost savings and scheme projected payback period to the - Council. • The removal and disposal of the old floodlight units. • The removal and disposal of the old internal column wiring and fused isolators to the old lanterns and the full renewal of the internal wiring and isolators to the new LED units to the current IEE Regulations. • The supply and installation of the Contractors proposed LED units. • The provision and installation of additional brackets (where deemed necessary by the Contractor lighting design) • The provision and installation of additional columns (where deemed necessary by the Contractor lighting design) including for all necessary mains electric connections and permanent trench reinstatement works. As part of the tender evaluation the Council will also be looking at Warranty Periods offered by tenderers. The anticipated contract start date is 21st March 2016 and in any event, the works must be commenced not later than 29 March 2016. Completion of the contract is required no later than 29h April 2016. Additional information: Please note, Contractors wishing to express interest and obtain the tender documentation, must do so by 16.00 on 3rd February 2016 However, it is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response.
