Description
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) intends to appoint the Environment Agency (EA) for further support to BEIS's Phase 2b of the Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR) programme covering engagement with Phase 2 AMR vendors, in the form of understanding specific technologies included in Phase 2 of the AMR F&D project, which will: •Identify areas for more detailed engagement within period of Phase 2, informed by Phase 1 findings and scope of vendor Phase 2 projects •Inform vendors of regulatory framework for deployment of AMRs in England and regulatory expectations and requirements •Allow the regulator to gain a better understanding of AMR design proposals and development being undertaken and/or planned in the future.
