Description
It's the University's policy to manage all of its operations, with regard to the design and maintenance of domestic water and air handling systems, in compliance with all current and relevant guidelines and legislation relating to the management and control of legionellosis, including legionnaires disease. So that the risk of infection to employees and others by Legionella is removed, so far as reasonably practicable, measures have been put into place that fall in line with the Nottingham Trent University Management Policy. This includes the appointment of a specialist contractor to carry out regular maintenance and testing associated with the existing systems. This specification, tender drawings and accompanying documents (refer to relevant appendices), details the services to be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor shall include in his tender sum for all materials, equipment, skilled/unskilled labour and any necessary design development required. The individual requirements, which constitute the works, shall include but not be limited to the following works: Monthly Temperature Checks to all buildings, Annual tank chlorination, Calorifier checks and chlorination, Quarterly Shower Head Cleaning, Annual maintenance of all expansion vessels, Bacteriological sampling, Completion of new and revised building risk assessments.
