Doncaster Domestic Abuse Service

Description

Doncaster Council was seeking to commission a Supported Accommodation and Outreach Support Service for adults and children fleeing or living with domestic abuse. The contract will be for an initial period of two years with 2 x 12 month extensions available subject to performance and funding. The Domestic Abuse Service will comprise of the following service elements: • Accommodation based elements - refuge and dispersed housing • Domestic Abuse Outreach Support Service • Children and Young People's Service The three elements of the service should ultimately aim to improve a Clients quality of life/recovery and promoting/maintaining independent living for themselves This accommodation and support service is intended to be of a short-medium term duration. It is the intention that people in the service will move on where appropriate in a planned and structured manner. To this end the Contractor will empower Clients so that they can live independently and thrive following the abuse. The level of support offered to the Clients will vary and will be based on the ongoing assessed needs of an individual Client.
