PROVISION OF DOCUMENT DATA CLASSIFICATION SOFTWARE

West Midlands Fire Service requires a system whereby it could classify documents, e-mails and other data repositories to improve the way it manages its information and complies with Her Majesty's Government Security Framework . Recommendations within the framework consider that marking documents and e-mails raises sender and recipient awareness of the risk of information being handled inappropriately by giving clarity of handling instructions. This reduces the likelihood of reputational damage from data protection breaches through enforcement action by the Information Commissioner's Office(ICO) for example.
