COV - Supply of Tyres and Associated Services 2026

Description

The Council has a fleet of 440 vehicles and 53 items of heavy plant within its existing in-house Integrated Transport Unit (ITU). These vehicles range from small cars and vans to 32 tonne Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) for the bulk transportation of waste. This contract is to cover the requirements for the supply and fitting of tyres for the fleet vehicles, together with the provision of related ancillary services, including puncture repairs and wheel balancing. The scope will also extend to vehicles added to support the fleet periodically where the tyre condition is not deemed to be fair wear and tear.
