NHS Organ Donor Register (ODR)

The statement or requirements that was issued covers the following: 1. The support and maintenance (to include deployment patching, management monitoring and all other elements of solution support) required to keep the ODR in service. 2. Development services a. mainly: change requests, resource capability, planning and delivery. Additionally, options were included to enable NHSBT to evaluate if its needs can be better met by expansion of the support and maintenance including: b. Purchasing a fixed number of days each year for change requests (at a potentially discounted rate), in addition to individually costed projects on an ad hoc basis 3. Changing existing hosting arrangements, to potentially any of the following options: a. NHSBT manage infrastructure hosting (through NHSBT's Azure subscription) and supplier manages and supports the application and database including support for Disaster Recovery Service (as-is) b. Supplier manages infrastructure hosting (through NHSBT's Azure subscription) and management and support of the application and database including support for Disaster Recovery Service c. Supplier fully hosts and manages ODR service including the application, database and hosting infrastructure from within their own secure data centre. Data transfer services to the ODR hosted within NHSBT internal data centre will remain under the control and responsibility of NHSBT. Options for support and management of the ODR Statistical Studies server and database to be agreed.
