Work description
The Authority wishes to appoint a contractor to undertake the mechanical and electrical refurbishment of 2 no. pumping stations located at Bullhouse Minewater Treatment Scheme (MwTS) in Yorkshire.
The two pumping stations are part of the Bullhouse MwTS that treats mine water before discharging into the River Don. The mechanical and electrical equipment at both pumping stations have been identified as end of life and require replacement to ensure the continued performance of the site.
This is a critical Coal Authority site and is monitored by the Environment Agency.
The two pumping stations are named as: - Bullhouse Raw Water Pumping Station - Bullhouse Treated Water Pumping Station
The pumping stations typically comprise of a pump house brick building, dry/wet chambers, hard-standing areas, discharge bays, pipework and pump control panels.
