Work description
The proposed laser capture microdissection (LMD) system will be used within the Newcastle University Single Cell Functional Genomics Unit (NUSCU), a faculty wide facility based within the FMS, fulfilling a central role in single cell research as well as a wider role as a core facility platform. The system will primarily be used to isolate single cells from a range of tissue types, ahead of downstream DNA or RNA analysis using next-generation sequencing, real time PCR or digital PCR methods. This is a call-off from Lot 5 New Technology and Combined Systems of the APUC Framework BA-LAB046 Microscopes and Imaging Equipment. The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of system as detailed in Section 3 Technical Specification at the University, together with 12 months warranty and an option for a 48 month service contract and all training necessary for safe and reliable operation of the system and a complete set of operating and maintenance documents. Suppliers should provide a 24 months warranty for parts
