## Description

The Council of the Isles of Scilly is seeking support from another authority or consultancy to provide support to the planning department for a period of 10 months\. The main focus will be to lead on all development management work \(with the exception of administration\) from pre to post application work, including appeals and any enforcement\. However, there will also be an expectation to provide some advice and support in other planning functions, including the preparation of the Local Plan\. The anticipated split is envisaged to be 90% development management work and 10% for other planning services\. A more detailed breakdown of the work required by the Council is provided in the accompanying specification but will include: • Process all types of planning applications – including negotiations with applicants, updating neighbours and Councillors as appropriate, finding solutions and preparing reports; • A desk-top pre-application planning advice service by phone, e-mail and letter; • Sites visits \(on an exceptional basis\); • Preparation of appeal statements Written Representation; • Provision of advice on potential breaches of planning control ; and • Advice on the review of the Local Plan \(limited to 10%\) Additional information: Procurement documents can be found on the Council of the Isles of Scilly website at: http://www\.scilly\.gov\.uk/business-licensing/contracts/current-contract-opportunities
