Barnet CCG Specialist Community Lymphoedema Service

Description

Barnet CCG intends to undertake a contract variation with Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust (Community Enfield Services, BEH-MHT), and incorporate the implementation of a community specialist lymphoedema service in the Borough of Barnet for Barnet GP practice registered patients for 1 year from April 2020 to March 2021. This will be within the existing block contract arrangement Barnet CCG already has with BEH-MHT. The new service for Barnet patients will be funded by Barnet CCG but will be co-commissioned with Enfield CCG. BEH-MHT already provide a community lymphoedema service for Enfield CCG in the borough of Enfield. The service would include diagnosis, assessment and treatment for both adults and children with both cancer-related and non-cancer related Lymphoedema. Additional information: Current situation : There is no provision for lymphoedema service in Barnet currently and patients are travelling as far as Tooting for a service. There is a service being run in Enfield by BEH-MHT as part of their core services and Barnet would like to have this lymphoedema service extended to Barnet for a period of 12 months to March 2021 when it is envisaged that a new Pan NCL service may start.
