Work description

HS2 Ltd has awarded a contract to engage a Supplier to evaluate potential dispatch methods and work collaboratively with HS2 Ltd to develop recommendations for the preferred option. To progress towards a decision, the Supplier will conduct research and produce a detailed paper on the benefits/drawbacks of each method, to include case studies highlighting where the identified options are utilised currently. On the completion of this Contract, the HS2 Ltd Train Operations team will have a clear understanding of:

• Available dispatch methods, their benefits, potential disadvantages, associated risks and likely costs; • Compliance and potential misalignment with Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) and HS2 documentation; • System definition and system safety plan; and • Safety analysis required and risk assessments.

Following a sub-OJEU open competition advertised via the Contracts Finder website (see previous opportunity notice at: https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/Notice/1ff079ca-5e8a-4696-8d4a-1b6cf9271203) the Contract has been awarded to Frazer-Nash Consultancy Ltd.
