Work description
Bournemouth Borough Council is looking for a supplier to support it's Asset Management strategy a forward programme of carriageway preventative maintenance treatments has been identified for delivery with 2018/2019 financial year. The works will consist of the application of either a machine laid micro asphalt or machine laid surface dressing within locations as appendix 7/7 & 7/21. The treatments will be required to be applied on various classifications of road to include, B Class, C Class and the Unclassified Road Network within the limits Borough Boundary.
The works will include providing pre-planning support, communication with frontages, all aspects of traffic management, surface preparation, the supply and the application of the specified treatment, adjustment of ironworks where required and product aftercare. The application of road markings will be arranged by the on completion of the works.
The Overseeing Organisation will be responsible; • for any advanced works, such as pre-patching red in advance of the treatment • arranging temporary traffic orders to support the works programme • removal/relocation of vehicles in the works area, contravening temporary traffic orders • the application of road markings
Due to the geographical location of Bournemouth the delivery of the programme of works will be subject to working constraints due to the seasonal demands and experience in traffic demands during these periods. Bournemouth Council hosts an annual Air festival all works must be completed prior to week ending 26th August
