Open Source Revs and Bens System

Description

Waiver of Contract Procedure Rules. Teignbridge Council submitted a bid in October last year on behalf of 5 Councils (Sedgemoor, East Devon, Leeds, Basildon & Brentwood) under the Local Digital fund continuous funding . This project builds on the previous Local Digital Discovery project to establish the desirability and feasibility of creating an open source solution for a Revenues and Benefits computer system. The project aims to focus on one component of an open source Revs and Bens system (business rates), develop, and test a migration tool to understand how feasible migration of data is from one system to another and prototype systems integrations, and governance and support models whilst engaging with local businesses to understand their needs and ensure any digital offer meets their expectations
