## Description

Wakefield is one of five metropolitan districts in West Yorkshire\. It has a population of approximately 340,000, making it the eighth largest metropolitan district in the country\. It is a diverse area that covers 350 square km of both urban and rural areas\. Wakefield has excellent links to the M1, M62 and A1 motorways and has two train stations which enable connections to the East Coast Main Line train service to Leeds, Doncaster and London Kings Cross\.
