Work description

CONTRACT AWARDED Tractor mounted machine to carry out ground preparation work for planting, which is capable of removing heavy brash/mulch and soil to leave a clean trench to plant trees in.

Specification of the essential requirements of the equipment: The machine needs to be able to be mounted on the three point linkage and be physically and hydraulically compatible with standard agricultural tractors we many deploy such as Valtra/ Case/ Claas/ John Deere machines with power outputs of between 120 to 200hp.

Needs to be of heavy-duty construction to cope with the rough terrain and other on-site conditions (Large stumps 60-90 cm max dia.) and left over harvesting produce) as found in the New forest and surrounding areas.

It needs to have an adjustable width control to suit different plant spacing's of between 1.9meters to 2.5 meters. It will need Hydraulically powered discs to help clear the brash/mulch and soil.

It also will need the ability to put Hydraulic downward pressure on the ground, to enable a clean trench to be created to the depth required. This would reduce the number of passes required to create a trench suitable to plant in.

Must have a UK parts and service support & back up and provide operational support on site at the time of delivery in the New Forest Hampshire. The machine will need to be supplied with a 12-month manufacturers warranty and support and must be deliverable within 6 months of ordering.
