## Description

The South East Regional Partnership comprising Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes and CentralBedfordshire Councils, wishes to let a contract to an appropriate education provider to deliver a professionalsocial work qualifying course\. The 'Step Up to Social Work' programme is a 14 month Post Graduate Diplomaand must be Health Care Professionals Council \('HCPC'\) validated, offering places for approximately 20 - 25students starting in January 2020\. The provider will be required to deliver these services to further cohortsduring the Contract Period, subject to funding\. The provider shall award the PGDip in Social Work to successfulstudents\. The programme will be demanding for students, but rewarding\. Students will be high calibre graduateswith an existing 2:1 degree classification in any academic discipline or 2:2 with additional qualifications atMasters level and with experience of working with children and families, seeking to re-train as social workers\.The programme will enable students to build upon their existing knowledge and skills and develop the expertiserequired for entry to the social work profession\. The contract start date is 1 November 2018\. The contract period is six \(6\) years with the option for two \(2\)further extensions of 12 months each\.
