WO1153 Modular Classroom for Noremarsh Junior School

The Education Act of 1996 (as amended) imposes a statutory duty on Wiltshire Council to ensure that "efficient primary education, secondary education and further education are available to meet the needs of the population of their area." Further to this statutory duty and following the approved Wiltshire School Places Strategy 2017- 2022 and its Implementation Plan, there now exists a requirement to increase the intake and teaching capacity at Noremarsh Junior School in Royal Wootton Bassett. The intention is to reflect the previous intake enlargement exercise at the school and to utilise the SMBF to appoint a contractor on a turn-key basis to deliver the build phase of the project for the equivalent of RIBA Stages 4 to 7. The design phase is already concluded as the contractor will be delivering a standard Framework product: • Location: Noremarsh Junior School at Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire • Scope: Manufacture & construction of a standard single classroom with toilets
