Collaborative research (with MPA and RBA) into a new generation of asphalt materials to mitigate noise

The purpose of this research task is to undertake an independent review of processes to improve the assessment, efficiency and cost effectiveness of innovative asphalt surfacing materials and in-situ quality assurance testing of these and current materials to be used on the strategic road network. This task also continues the monitoring and development of 'Next Generation' paving materials.
