Description
The Children's Online Safety Tracker (C-OST) will measure and understand UK children's online experiences, which Ofcom require to fulfil our remit of protecting children online under the Online Safety Act 2023. The C-OST is anticipated to replace the children's element of Ofcom's current Online Experiences Tracker (OET) and become a dedicated, tailored and child focused quantitative tracking survey. The C-OST will aim to deliver two waves of data each year, reporting on children's experiences of online harms (including primary priority content and priority content that is harmful to children1) and related topics such as awareness and usage of safety tools. Futures waves of the tracker will monitor changes and report trend data.
