Description
The BFI plans to construct a large temporary cinema on a Central London site for the duration of the 60th BFI London Film Festival . The site will provide an appropriate production environment to present high-level red carpet premieres in the company of visiting A-list talent and filmmakers. The auditorium will provide warm and comfortable cinematic surroundings, with high-quality digital cinema capability and approximately 780 audience seats. It is the BFI’s plan to ensure that the viewing experience in the temporary cinema will be as close as possible to a permanent cinema installation with comfortable seating, large screen and excellent audio specification. To this end all equipment installed will conform to the DCI specification. BFI seeks a supplier for the hire and installation of audio equipment for the temporary cinema to include the provision and installation of a Dolby Surround 7.1 cinema sound system and will ensure that it can meet the requirements for a DCI compliant cinema installation. This will include supply and installation of all amplifiers, speakers and attendant fixings and cabling and include connection to supplied cinema processors.
