Work description

LJMU are conducting market research for this requirement, this is not a tender exercise it is a request for information.

LJMU offers an external confidential counselling provision to staff where a need is identified. The purpose of providing a counselling provision is to support the emotional and mental wellbeing of our staff; reduce sickness absence and create a more healthy, resilient and productive workforce. Requests for referrals to counselling may be made direct to HR by the individual or through their line manager or following an Occupational Health recommendation. The provision of an external counselling service for staff forms a small part of the wider wellbeing provision and EAP that we offer at LJMU. Due to the confidential and sensitive nature of the provision, feedback is not sought formally, but anecdotal feedback from individuals has always been very positive with some staff requesting re-referrals at a later date. This service is currently provided by two external local companies, MCTC (Mersey Counselling and Therapy Centre) and Counselling Connections and they both offer a combination of in person and on-line appointments according to the individuals preference, this currently ranges from 50 - 70% choosing on-line.

Additional information: This is a request for information exercise, it is not a tender process.
