GB-Derby: Contract TD1358 - Replacement of Handrails and Balustrades to Communal Staircases

Staircases. Fabrication work, Metalworking Installation of metal joinery except doors and windows Derby Homes is inviting tenders on behalf of Derby City Council. For renplacing existing timber handrail/balustrades to communal staircases within the blocks of flats at various sites city wide in Derby, with metal handrail/balustrades. This procurement is being arranged by our Asset Management Section for the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Capital Works Programmed during the financial years 2018/19 and 2019/20. The successful Service Provider will be required to remove and cart away existing timber handrails and balustrades, including any supporting steel framework and make good surfaces/finishes as required. Then install new stainless steel tubular handrail with brushed finishes and mild steel powder coated balustrades to communal staircases and landing areas on a number of two and three story blocks of flats. All works to be strictly as per the design and specification provided. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
