Catheter accessories

Catheter inflation solution to hold the catheter in place in the bladder of the patients. Sterile solution that consists of purified water, macrogol, macrogolglycerolhydroxystearate and Triclosan. The Triclosan is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent, which is used in catheters that may remain in-situ up to 4 weeks and is designed to protect the outer surface of the catheter from bacterial colonisation and subsequent encrustation when in place over a long time.

Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of GBP 50 000 to GBP 100 000 in the first year of this framework agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement.
