## Description

Supply and Installation Of A High Temperature Mechanical Test Machine The University of Birmingham invites tenders for the supply of a high temperature mechanical test machine\. The machine should have capability to carry out a range of tests under uniaxial loading at temperatures of up to 800 degrees Celsius in air\. A particular requirement is to perform tests under slow fatigue and dwell fatigue cycles\. The baseline cycle is trapezoidal 1-1-1-1 seconds and the dwell cycle is up to 1-3600-1-1 seconds\. A machine rated to 100kN equipped with a load cell of 100kN is required\. The budget for this equipment is approximately £45,000 to £55,000\. This project is funded by the European Structural Investment Funds\. Should the project encounter any budgetary constraints then the University reserves the right to withdraw the requirement\.
