Description
In July 2019, heavy storms caused many houses in the Caroline Street, Sunderland to internally flood. Investigation into the area showed that the existing combined drainage system that takes the surface water is over capacitated and therefore means that the area floods whenever there is a heavy rainfall. A new Surface Water drainage system is to be installed to deal with the heavy rainfall.
