Work description
The Home Office has awarded a contract for the continued provision of application support, maintenance and hosting services for three business-critical legacy applications that underpin key operational services across the department.
The services support the following applications:
UKVI Visa Fees and Processing Times - a public-facing application that enables users to access visa fee information and estimated processing times for visa applications, supporting both visa applicants and UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) operations. Protective Equipment Database (PED) - a critical database used by police forces and other emergency services to identify and locate protective equipment, supporting operational readiness and personnel safety. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Directory - a key information resource containing details of umbrella bodies that facilitates the effective administration and processing of DBS checks.
The awarded services will ensure the continued availability, resilience and secure operation of these applications, supporting the ongoing delivery of essential services to citizens, government stakeholders and frontline operational users.
