Work description
East Sussex County Council, on behalf of the members of the Sussex Air Quality Partnership (Sussex-air), invited quotes to undertake the contract of the air quality data management and information service for the "Sussex Air Quality Partnership". The members of the partnership include all 15 local authorities in Sussex. The Partnership sought to: 1. Co-ordinate air quality monitoring and dissemination in Sussex that meets the requirements of Defra's current air quality technical guidance and DAQI. 2. Maintain independent, trusted and high quality air quality data to support local authorities in Sussex to fulfil their duties under the Local Air Quality Management regime and enable informed decisions to be made on how to manage and improve local air quality. 3. Make local air quality data freely available and in an accessible and and user-friendly way for local authorities, public health, policy makers, consultants and the public. 4. Develop and deliver projects that improve local air quality. The contract will be known as the "Sussex Air data management and information Contract 2022-24" and will support the objectives of the Sussex Air partnership set out above.
