Work description
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) is responsible for the commemoration of almost 1.7million members of the Commonwealth forces who gave their lives in the two world wars. CWGC cares for cemeteries and memorials at 23,000 locations, in 154 countries.
The Commission is headquartered in Maidenhead (United Kingdom) and employs approx. 1250 people across five main global areas as follows: • Africa & Asia Pacific Area (AAPA) • Mediterranean Area (MA) • Western Europe Area (WEA) • UK & Northern Area (UKNA) • Canada
The Commission is currently using CIPHR as its Central HR System Information System (HRIS) in the UK, supplemented with various local databases, spread sheets and manual recording processes. In addition, local payroll solutions are in place for some countries. CWGC is looking to replace its current solution and processes with a unified global HRIS solution whilst continuing to use local payroll providers to ensure compliance with country specific legislation. As a minimum, potential tenderers will be required to meet the Global HRIS high level requirements as follows:
• Operate in multiple languages. • Manage multiple currency. • Interface with a range of local payroll providers. • Manager and Employee Self Service • Core HR Administration • Sickness/Absence Management • Learning & Development - Performance Management & Appraisals • Recruitment and Applicant Tracking • Reporting / Management Information and Analytics
We are not seeking expressions of interest at this stage, potential tenderers are only required to take note of this opportunity. A formal Contract Notice will be issued in due course, in accordance with the Open Procedure of the EU Procurement Directives.
Please note: This is a prior information notice and therefore the proposed contract dates, and value of the contract, referred to elsewhere in this notice, are estimates at this stage and may change prior to the Contract Notice being published.
