Work description
South Gloucestershire Council is a Unitary Authority in the South West of England. The Council currently commissions a variety of services for adults and children. The Council is inviting tenders from potential suppliers who may be interested in delivering a lived experience mentoring service for young people who have been brought to the attention of the VRU due to concerns about serious violence or exploitation.
These children are managed in our Partnership Intelligence Management Meeting, with the aim to intervene early and change the trajectory of a young person becoming involved in Serious Violence. This service has a clear remit of supporting children and young people where there are known risk/concerns around peer-on-peer violence/association, knife crime and criminal exploitation The initial duration of the contract is 24 months, with the potential to extend for a further 12 months, making a total possible contract term of 36 months. Any contract extension or renewal will be dependent upon continued need for the service, satisfactory performance, and availability of funding. It is anticipated that this contract would start on 1st April 2023. Potential suppliers will need to register on the Supplying the South West portal (this is free of charge) and express an interest in this opportunity in order to see and receive the tender documents.
