GB-Burton Upon Trent: Provision of Bar Services

East Staffordshire Borough Council is seeking a Contractor for the provision of its Bar Services for functions at its Civic Function Suite based at Burton Town Hall, and ad hoc mobile bar services at Burton Market Hall as required.

Functions are likely to include but not limited to weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, wedding anniversaries, ad hoc Market Hall events, other parties and Council sponsored events.

The Contractor shall provide all equipment necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the fixed bar. This shall include but not necessarily be limited to beer dispensers, coolers, chillers, glass washers, optics, shelving and fridges.

The following drinks shall be offered as a minimum requirement - Beers: Mild, Bitter, Lager and Guest Ales (and choices therein); Cider; All usual spirits and brandies; Wines by the bottle and glass; a selection of good quality wines, medium, sweet and dry, red, white and rose; Liqueurs / aperitifs: a selection; Soft drinks: to include a wide and varied range of soft drinks / mixers to give customers a good range of choice. This should include soft drinks on draught; Hot beverages: tea, coffee; Selection of confectionary and savoury items.

(Ice, lemon, cherries and tap water are to be available to customers free of charge).

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
