## Description

MongoDB Atlas is a service layer over a MongoDB database\. MongoDB Atlas databases can be deployed into AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, so gives us independence from Cloud host provider\. MongoDB Atlas will provide a more secure, more resilient and lower maintenance managed database service\. Existing, manually configured and built MongoDB databases will be migrated to Atlas and squads will start utilising Atlas for new MongoDB databases\.
