The Home Improvement Agency Service supports residents in Folkestone and Hythe District to maintain their independence, health, and well-being at home, regardless of age, disability, or other characteristics. The service achieves this by repairing, adapting, and improving homes to ensure a safe, secure, and accessible environment.

Key activities include:

Facilitating adaptations, repairs, and maintenance.

Offering preventative support, such as handy person services, hospital discharge assistance, and hoarding support.

Providing advice on funding and accessing private adaptations.

Referring or signposting to community services.

The service was jointly procured by Ashford, Dover, and Folkestone & Hythe councils, with Dover District Council leading the process.
