Bevan Brittan - provision of legal advice and legal services

Description

The Authority requires the appointed Supplier to provide specialist legal and contract (NEC) support. The support shall be provided as necessary throughout the process to finalise and sign a GMP (estimated to be in October 2021) and throughout the works stage as may be necessary i.e. advising on any specific contract and/or compensation event matters that may arise. It is expected that the Supplier shall provide the following Services and support which shall be considered to be a non-exhaustive scope of services required: 1. liaise with members of the Authority's Programme Team as may be necessary; 2. as may be necessary, attend Project and other related meetings; 3. provide specialist legal advice and support in connection with the drafting and review of the Works Information; 4. provide specialist legal advice and support to the drafting and finalisation of the GMP contract and any early works compensation events/agreements; 5. review the final GMP contract and prepare an assurance report for the Trust Board; 6. prepare briefing and advice notes for the Authority on legal and contract matters; and 7. provide general specialist legal advice and support to the Authority in the resolution of contract matters i.e. to include compensation events, disputes, and interpretations of the NEC Contract.
