Medway Council has secured funding to replace the wetpour safety surfacing at Balmoral Gardens play area in Gillingham. Contractors are invited to tender for the play area safety surfacing to a total budget of £40,000 (ex VAT). The budget must not be exceeded. REQUIREMENTS: The works will include: The following is a summary of the mandatory requirements: • Remove all faulty safety surfacing as indicated on Location Plan - estimate of approx. 380sqm and remove to licenced facility. • Regulate sub-base, supply and lay new wetpour safety surfacing to meet safety standards (BS EN1177). Note: colour is preferred, please state if black is only within budget. • Please see section D6 for specification. • Warranties/guarantees for the safety surfacing must be provided. • Post installation inspection must take place before opening to the public.
