EU Registry 2021

Description

EU Registry aim is to capture the situation of industrial entities from a geographical perspective, based on four hierarchical levels: Production sites; Production facilities; Production installations and Production installation parts. The project relates to a statutory reporting requirement based on the EU Registry of industrial sites. It is covered within the adopted Commission Implementing Decision of 2018/1135/EU under the Industrial Emissions Directive. The EU Withdrawal Act 2018 ensures that existing EU environmental law will continue to have effect in UK law, including the Industrial Emissions Directive after UK leave EU on December 31st 2020. Therefore Defra is required by law to compile EU Registry on industrial sites annually.
