Kennelling of Stray Dogs

The Council requires a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to provide kennelling for stray dogs. The Council has a duty under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (as amended) to kennel stray dogs for a minimum period of seven clear days, including any dogs defined in Section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 as a banned breed. This duty is over seen by the Councils internal Dog Warden Service. Through this Service the Council requires a suitably experienced Contractor to provide Kennelling Service's for stray dogs throughout the Bradford District.
